Free (or inexpensive) Legal Forms

I’ll admit it. I like most of the attorneys I have met over the years. I know they have their place and can be very helpful. Often, they’re absolutely necessary. But sometimes I just need a simple legal document (maybe a promissory note or a simple bill of sale) and don’t want to spend a lot of money getting it. Maybe you do too.
Entrepreneur Magazine offers downloadable forms through the following links that are terrific resources:

www.entrepreneur.com/formnet/legalforms.html
Some of these forms are free and some are available for a nominal cost. Some are generic and some are state-specific.
Now, I don’t recommend selling your multimillion dollar business this way. But if the risk is fairly low and situation is straightforward, maybe you don’t need an expensive attorney to draft a document for you.
